Well, okay, so you never thought you had enough RAM. There is no such thing as enough RAM, but we might be getting closer.

Not long since the announcement of two freaking terabyte drives, comes an announcement from Samsung that 32 GB RAM sticks are possible.
I think the computer of my dreams will be possible in the next few years. Leaving me free to dream of a newer, more ridiculous computer. Sweet.

Ah DRM, how you encourage piracy. As of 1/28/09, all legit copies of Gears of War stopped working. The only way to correct this problem was to roll back the system clock to a time before 1/28/09. That’s right, the game’s digital certificate expired.  The game was coded to stop working within three years of its release.
Really, Microsoft, are you actually trying to make paying customers pirate your software? Because if you are, I suspect you’re doing a really good job.

Ever wonder what country that oddball top-level domain you’re pirating from is actually from? Of course not, you don’t pirate things. But still, if you did happen to want to know which countries those codes come from, conveniently arranged as a map of the world, Bytelevel Research has made such a thing, and its pretty neat.

Two terabyte drives exist!

Western Digital just released a two terabyte drive, just when I thought I couldn’t possibly be more abusive with my media storage. With a starting price below $300 (though just barely at $299). The tech behind hard drives is already like something from space. Surely, the tech behind breaking the 2TB barrier is thoroughly amazing as well, though the press release is not giving up many answers.

Digital media hounds, rejoice and cast physical media from your life!
